Growing up in St. Louis, I watched a lot of television. A LOT. My biggest inspiration...Johnny Carson (am I dating myself?). Second biggest inspiration, Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. Those shows made me want to travel the world as an entertainer and experience everything life had to offer. The defining moment...Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' debuted on MTV. SOLD! I went on to study acting, dance, voice, piano, dialects, literature, poetry, philosophy, sociology, and a host of other subjects at St. Louis University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa with an honors BA in Theatre and continued my education in musical and classical theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City. It was in The Big Apple that I got my first taste of a real, paid performance gig...a music video. I was paid $50 for a 15-hour shoot day. I went on to do dozens of plays, book my first national tour with 'The Wiz', land my first tv gig on 'Law & Order: SVU' and tour the world as a dancer/choreographer with recording artists like Missy Elliot and Joe. My move to Los Angeles would bring about a new frontier of acting for me...voice overs. That would land me a principal role in the wildly popular 'Tombraider' video game and to date, several commercials and virtual reality projects. I continue on this ever-changing and exciting journey as a performer of the street and in the theatre, on screens big and small, in poetry lounges and comedy clubs, and beyond. My hashtags #workingactress #Hollywoodaintsobad are mantras for daily life and I joyfully celebrate success with family, friends, and the hundreds of talented artists I've been honored to work with.
